Hello:

I am relocating to Denver for employment, I have a 3 Bedroom Section 8 Voucher and would like to know what is the price range?

What areas would be good with great High Schools?

Also if anyone could advise me on a realtor that deals with section 8 it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

This seems to me a strange question. Since what you pay is asset and income based and is a set percentage of that determination, usually 30%, why would you concern yourself what is the Fair Market Rent, which is set differently for each region. The government makes up the difference between what you pay to the Fair Market Rent, regardless of what you pay. If you are getting a new job, your assets and income change, so that the determination of what you pay or even if you continue to be eligible will change.

The more appropriate question is where and if units are available. Also, many landlords reserve the units first for residents of the area and more likely will have a waiting list, especially in well regarded units and neighborhoods with good schools. Housing Authorities also have set preferential acceptance to local residents, especially project based public housing. You cannot just expect to come here and housing is available even if you have already have a voucher.

You need to contact the local housing office of the city that you are considering for availability and lists of Apartments for tenant based Section 8 housing.
