Generally I-25 is an easy drive over the weekend. I-70 through the mountains can be problematic. This weekend it might not be safe to leave your neighborhood.

If I had not read this post I might be one of the idiots trying to use I25 on the weekend. As I had not heard about this anywhere else. But I expect it will be all over the radio Friday

So does this mean they're adding a 4th lane to that little stretch that bottlenecks down to 3? I never understood why they had that bottleneck. And last time I drove through there, it seems like they could have added the 4th lane while they were doing all the other work.

Yikes. I travel I-25 North every day from Lincoln Ave (Parker) to Lincoln Street (downtown). I've been seeing the signs all week.

I have to be in Lakewood by 8:30 on Saturday morning, I'll definitely be taking C470 instead of I-25 to 6th. LOL

Sporting events, construction will bring road closures, snarled traffic this weekend

DENVER -- Two sporting events -- a Broncos home game and the end of the USA Pro Challenge -- and two construction projects -- at Denver International Airport and on U.S. 6 -- will impact roadways with congestion and closures in the Denver metro area this weekend.
