What apartments in Denver compare to the Horizons @ Rock Creek (Superior) in terms of ammenties and scope? For basis of comparison I think their sister complex, the Meadows and Meridan (Parker) could also be used.

I would be interested in Lodo, Capital Hill, Wash Park, Cherry Creek region as well as Lakewood.

Do any of these locations have apts. that possess what the Horizons has (i.e. clubhouse, tennis, gym, pools, hot-tub, garages, communal type living, young crowd)?

Probably not in LoDo, Capitol Hill, Wash Park, and Cherry Creek. Lakewood, yes. Urban Denver doesn't really have apartment "complexes" as such. We have apartment buildings. Some of the larger buildings do indeed have pools both indoor and outdoor, hot tubs, etc. They don't have personal garages, but most buildings do have either a parking structure or underground parking under the building. Many buildings also have rentable storage units that you can store your typical "garage" type stuff near your car as well.

Also, you have to remember that the land footprint of something like Horizons would probably be equal to most of Downtown Denver! Apartment buildings downtown have to fit half a city block at the most!

You could probably find a more suburban-style apartment complex southeast of Cherry Creek, around Glendale. (Some people call this area "Cherry Creek" as well, even though it's not). And of course Lakewood would likely have a number of apartment complexes.

If you're looking for an affordable place downtown that does have something like a suburban complex feel, you could check out Commons Park West. It's relatively affordable compared to most downtown places, and offers awesome proximity to the Cherry Creek and S Platte trails plus the confluence Park kayak area. You could also check out the Parkway Apartments on Speer and 13th Ave. It's also fairly suburban-style (the latter is LOADED with college students, so make sure that you're comfortable with that.
