I am trying to plan a party for my 6-year-old boy in Lakewood/WheatRidge area. Any suggestions?

I am new to the area so I have never been there. Does it have any kids games or a game area?

It has a small video game area, but the cliff divers are the main attraction. It's the ultimate in kitsch. Your kiddo will love it, and you'll probably hate it.

The food is unlike anything you've ever eaten (unless you make a habit out of eating freezer-burned Mexican TV dinners). Power through the overpriced slop to get to the free unlimited sopapillas. They're quite possibly the best thing on the menu.

Jumpstreet at Bowles and Kipling (south of Lakewood).

There is a kid area for younger kids and it costs about $15 per kid for 2 hours.

There is also a Chuck E. Cheese on Hampden at Santa Fe.

I believe there's also a Jumpstreet at Colorado Mills; that may be closer for someone looking in Lakewood/Wheat Ridge. And I second this idea; great way to have fun and burn off energy at the same time. My kiddo's former orchestra teacher at her high school once treated his top orchestra to an evening at Jumpstreet to blow off some stress while preparing for a very high-level concert. Even as high schoolers, they LOVED it!

I have to vote for Jump Street too. My daughter had a birthday there a few years back. Loads of fun and it will wear them out.
