I hate to be a broken record, but I am on the brinking of moving to Colorado, and I am hoping someone out there might be able to give me some solid advice on apartment complexes in the Wash Park area near Gaylord St.

Here is my situation: I am a 25 y/o female who will be working as a nurse. I don't care about commute, so that is not a problem for me. A friend of mine who went to school in denver highly recommended this area...and I don't have any reason to not trust his opinion.

I want someplace that has young singles (not crazy CRAZY college party people, but merely a good singles scene) but will offer me a NICE living space. I'm not in the market to spend $3,000 for myself (ex: a house), but I am willing to spend a higher rate than normal for a clean apartment with lovely features in a hip area.

Again, if anyone has information they can offer, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thank you for your time!

Hate to break it to you but capital hill/congress park is full of crazy college kids and young single people mixed. The affordable housing makes it an ideal location to live and it is close to the Aurarian Campus which houses a university, college, and community college. All though I don't know your option on "nice" but most apartments in the capital hill area are older, however there are some nicer old ones. Hope this info has helped.

I think the OP was talking about Wash Park and not Cap Hill. Cap Hill does have quite a population of College Students (though in reality CH is a very diverse neighborhood, not just students there), but the demographics of Wash Park are very different. There's probably a few students there, but these days Wash Park is more of a professionals neighborhood; a lot quieter than CH.

As for finding apartments, Craigslist should be your best friend in finding them. Just do a search for "Washington Park" or "Wash Park" under the Denver section -- you'll find many.
