Is it already here? Checked the weather and it looks like low 50s to low 80s for Denver. Buddy out in Summit County told me the leaves are already changing.

A late summer cool front isn't out of the ordinary - nor is snow above 12,000' this time of year. Leaves are changing a little early due to the widespread drought conditions.

I feel there is always a brief dip sometimes in Mid August. It's typically not consistent.

The night temps will continue to be 50s or low 60s, but we'll probably still see some high 80s, likely even break 90 again in September.

Then by late October, it's a complete crapshoot on whether it will be 80 and sunny or 40 and snowing. For example, last year, it snowed on Halloween but was 70 and sunny on Thanksgiving

I remember it snowed even before that! The day before I moved back to L.A. on like 10/10/17 it dumped 5 inches. I recall thinking this was way to early to be brushing snow off of my car. Then the 2nd week in L.A. it was back up into the 90s.

By this Friday (8/24), Denver will be back up to 89.

When we lived in south Englewood and later a house in Parker (mid 2002 thru Oct 2007), we seen outside Halloween décor covered in snow during a few Halloween's. We also seen Halloween with no snow, but it was fairly cold Halloween night. Not freezing, be definitely a chill in the air.

Not a weatherman, but just because a Cold Front comes in, sure doesn't mean it will stay this time of year.

It doesn't seem like fall yet, at least in the Front Range. The sun is still high in the sky, the days are still long, temps in the 80s. It's just a slightly cooler version of summer currently.

Don't "fall" for it.

October 2016 was a very warm month. Fall may peak its head out but sometimes will go back into hiding.

I expect the Rockies to reappear any time now.
