All schools in Denver Metro are closed today. This woman is considered armed and dangerous. Apparently she has made credible threats about reenacting the Columbine shooting incident, which is 20 years old this year. Be vigilant out there today, and most of all, be safe!

They found her near Echo Lake Lodge at the base of Mount Evans. Channel 4 is reporting that she's dead.

My wife just told me. Tragic, but I’m glad they found her and put an end to this. It’s unfortunate, because it seems like she had undiagnosed and untreated mental illness. This could have been prevented.

I just can't believe that she was able to fly in from another state and buy a shotgun just after getting off the plane. I'll leave my opinion to the Politics forum, but...

The tragedy started when her perents realized she was showing signs of mental illness and did nothing. Her father stated earlier, “Yes I think she has some mental problems”. They indirectly allowed this to happen to her. And now they will bury their own daughter.

Better that she die than her would-be targets.

It is truly sad. Her parents were some of the first people I thought about when I heard she had passed. She wasn't the only victim.

I've many times thought of the parents of the Columbine shooters and the pain they must have felt (they were victims too). Really sad.

I'm just glad this didn't turn into something much worse and kudos to law enforcement for their thorough and quick work.

I'm not watching, but there is supposedly a news conference going on with more details right now.

Definitely a relief as the parent of one of the half million Denver metro area students whose schools were closed today. But also heartbreaking as a parent to know other parents lost their child - and whatever caused all of this to happen, that's still a tragedy.

I suffer from a mental illness, but it is treated and I don't want to go around shooting people. I wish this woman had gotten treatment. That said, I am glad she is dead instead of her would be victims. Maybe now she is at peace.

If someone is 18, there is little a parent can do, unless they have direct knowledge of her very dangerous plans (to self and others). If an adult isn't seeking help, it is very difficult to arrange.
