Hi, we’re in our mid 30’s with 1 toddler and expecting more. We’re looking to move to Denver area and looking for great schools, diversity (we’re mixed White/Asian family), and tons of very young kids. We’d love a suburb with lots of family friendly programming (barring Covid-19) - or at least with nice restaurants nearby.

Budget is $800k-950k for 5+ bedroom larger home. Ideally newer community that’s not so far from town. We have remote jobs so no commuting, however I don’t want to be more than 15 min to cool shops, nice restaurants. Our weekends will consist of toddler soccer, a reform Jewish temple, Asian grocery store shopping. Most important is excellent school!

Thank you!!!

Welcome to Greenwood Village. Not very diverse, but a decent Asian population (9-10%) and a fair number of Jewish folks. House price could be a problem, though.

Lowry? Stapleton? Maybe near Cherry Creek Reservoir. Aurora has diversity including Asian markets. Maybe SE Aurora or DTC or Southmoor?

Yes! The DTC area near I-25 has several Jewish synagogues and community centers and the elementary schools have some of the highest Asian student populations in the area. Not a lot of newer construction but many homes have been redone. For something newer you can go south into Lone Tree. There's a large HMart Asian grocery at Parker Rd and Yale and some smaller markets and restaurants in that same area. Park Meadows in Lone Tree is the big retail shopping area.

Denver is an island.
Typically diversity and nice restaurants or socal experience decay the further you go outside Denver County. Exceptions every where but you being out of town, it might be an effort to find these. Denver citizens have been assimulated and no one reallly cares. Its rough times every where but i like South Denver. Mix of 1950's single family which is still connected to an urban life. Some lite rail, walkability, choices for schools and best of all inexpensive fast internet.

The HMart you talk about is a super great place to shop but it is in Aurora, a transitional area. Unless you REALLY know what you are doing stay away.

back 1980's after the war, a pocket of asians took over Federal & Alameda in Denver. All good. With success they re located more noth of there into the burbs. go figure the American way back than. There ia a PAM Picific Asian Market north on 120th in Broomfield.

NE corner of Colorado and Alamedia, the Glendale area might have some apeal for you.

Again ethnc and religious things are personal. The average well adjusted Denverite is dont care.
If you choose to move anywhere here welcome home.

The most diverse city in Colorado isn't Denver, it's Aurora. Denver is roughly 80% white and 55% NHW, 10% Black, and 4% Asian. Aurora is 61% White, 45% NHW, 16% Black, and 6% Asian. 1 in 5 Aurora residents were born outside the US.

H Mart is in an area of Aurora that the city has been exploring designating as an official Korea Town for a few years. A little rough around the edges, but not terrible.

Regardless, I still think the OP would be better off in Greenwood Village. We have Jewish friends out here in SE Aurora, and GV is where their synagogue is.

Hi when you say South Denver how wide a net are you casting - Platt Park, or further like Englewood or even Littleton?

The inexpensive fast internet part grabbed my attention.

Lowry. In the city, close to synagogues, close to Cherry Creek. New houses. Urban mix of races. Decent Asian market near Parker and 225.

+1
The "Decent Asian market" is the H-Mart.
Kosher markets near Hilltop and Lowry.
