Hi guys,
I'm 28 year old guy who is getting out of military next year and making a career switch to accounting. I was wondering which school, CU Denver or Boulder, has a better reputation with accounting firms in Denver? I've heard from a few people in Denver that CU Boulder is considered a party school. I was wondering if that's true?

Both are pretty well considered (just graduated from CU Denver in May), but I think Boulder is higher in the rankings now...when I started Denver was. Denver is easier to work while getting your degree when I surveyed the programs.

I do suggest an MBA emph. in accounting over an MS in accounting unless you want a straight CPA. When I was going (I have an MBA emph. Finance) through classes they overlapped in positions pretty well (except for the hard core positions), but the MBA gave a wider qualification for more postings.
