Hello all,

I am trying to find out when the passes (like the Colorado pass and the Winter Park / MJ / Copper pass) go on sale each year. I don't want to schedule our time away from Colorado and miss the time period that they are being sold.

Best,

Most of the season package discount or promotional ski passes are sold pre-season.

Thanks for your reply. I know that they are sold pre-season. I am looking for the specific month(s) that they are sold in. I used to live there and am moving back again in Feb. But I might be gone during the Fall and don't want to miss the sale. I know you have to be present.

So, if you know which months or work for REI or similar where they sell them, please let me know.

Bill

"Epic Pass" by Vail Associates, unlimited skiing for $629 ... went on sale in October through Dec 1st for this year.

Since you haven't mentioned which ski area(s) you prefer to ski at, I suggest you do your own google search and find out what each has for a discount program.

At this point, nobody's announced when next year's discount program will go on sale, or what program they'll have for winter 2009.

And no, you don't have to be "present" to purchase the pass via your credit card. When you go to pick up your pass for the season, they can take your picture then and issue the pass at the lift ticket office.

I was there in 2002, 2003 and 2004 and the pass for Breck, Keystone, A-Basin with 10 days at Vail and/or B. Creek was about $400.

The Winterpark, MJ, Copper pass was about the same money.

I prefer to ski at Mary Jane and A-Basin, but always enjoyed going to Keystone a few times and Breck a few times to mix it up a bit.

The "Epic" pass did not mention A-Basin. I wonder if it is still an option?

Anyway, I will ski Loveland, A-Basin, Mary Jane a whole season, but don't really want to pay six bills for skiing for a season.

They just announced the Epic Pass for 2009-2010 ski season. $49 down now, the remaining amt. due in September. Total price $579

Epic Pass

I'm sure the Colorado Pass and Summit Pass for next season will be announced probably in April.
