Hi. I'll be visiting Denver next week (looking for a new home). I haven't been to Denver in 10 years, so I forgot what people wear there this time of year. I see from the forecast that temps will be in the 40-50's. As far as casual clothes go, are guys wearing jeans, t-shirt, light jacket or are they still pretty much in winter mode (jeans, long sleeve shirt/sweater, layers, heavy coat)? Or, something totally different??

Thanks!

same thing we tell everyone all year -- LAYER. One day it's 65 degrees, the next it's snowing. Come prepared for everything. I saw people in shorts and sleeveless t-shirts today, as well as jeans and long sleeve shirts, and I work downtown Denver. Wear what is comfortable for you and be prepared for the weather to change over the course of any 24 hour period (or as they say "just wait 15 minutes").

Hard to say...today my son was in shorts and a t-shirt with a hoodie....tomorrow is supposed to be snow. Could go either way. Watch the weather and be prepared.

You don't say where you are coming from, so I don't know what you have. If you have a heavy coat and have room in your bag, bring it. You may need it. If that's a pain, or you don't have one, bring some sweaters, sweatshirts, etc for layering with a lighter wt. coat. There may be some shirt-sleeve weather at "high noon" on some days, but it's still long sleeves for the most part. Bring some shoes that can withstand moisture (for the snow/rain).

I've visited the same time of year three years running and the weather is day to day as mentioned. Coming from So Cal, I'm obviously not too used to the cold(though I enjoy it) and even in the snow it hasn't gotten cold enough to layer up. Jeans and tshirt with a sweater or a medium jacket seem to be enough to keep the bite off when it's truly cold.

I wore a t-shirt and shorts today. I took a light weight jacket with me and had some jeans and a sweater in the car in case I ended up being out late.

The person above who said "layers" was right on. If the high is 65ish+, t-shirt and shorts with extra clothes nearby. If it's between 0-65, jeans and t-shirt with various top layers.

Sunday was amazing, in the mid 60s. It emboldened me to scout around without my hoodie. Actually, I have scouted around in shorts even during December when it was 8 degrees

I hate pants, I hate them to the core, when I'm not in the office. It's almost an impossibility unless I'm dressing up for a rare Sunday when I'm sick and tired of tuxedo Christians scoffing at my casual outfits.

This was what I wore this Sunday roaming all around Denver and the suburbs, if this helps:

EXPRESS: SMALL LION PIQUE POLO

EXPRESS: PLAID CASUAL SHORTS

MION CURRENT SANDAL - Shoe Gallery Online

Unfortunately, when I got the mion couple of years back it was like 170$ It's down to 50s now

Antlered, it looks like we have the same taste in clothes.

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

When my son is in Denver, he always goes with the Vibram 5 fingers for his feet. Hoodies, t-shirt, shorts. IF it's real cold, he will put on jeans.

Jeans are good for either warm or cooler weather. I suggest shirts and a jacket. Layering is good.
