Hi
I am getting ready to relocate to Denver for work. I've spent a few months on and off in the Denver area before so I have a general idea of geography and such. My job is most likely going to be a floating position which means that I could be anywhere in the Denver/surrounding areas, but there is also a chance that if I end up anywhere it would be in SW Denver. (Very vague I know, sorry!).

Since I am floating, wherever I end up I would like to have quick highway access since I anticipate doing a LOT of driving in the next year. I had started to look at some apartments around the intersection of 25/470 because I figured that would give me access to two of the three major highways.

I have a tendency to lean more towards SW Denver area because 1) that's where I may end up anyway 2) that's where a lot of my friends are and 3) that's where church and a lot of my other activities have been in my limited time in Denver before. I know regardless I am going to end up driving a LOT, but I'm used to that by now so I figure I can put up with it for at least another year until I have some more stability. (I've been driving for an hour or so each way to get to most of my work places for the last year).

So basically I am looking for an apartment complex that is in a decently safe area (I'm a single mid 20s female not completely used to city life), with easy highway access. I don't really want to live downtown just because I still am not completely used to the idea of being in a "city" (I realize Denver is not a big city to most but compared to where I come from it is haha!). I would like a place that does have a workout room with it, and I would like my rent to be <1000/month. In SW/SE Denver I had been looking at both Ballantyne and AMLI Park Meadows so any feedback on those two would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Only suggestion I can think of is try to find a place that will allow you to go month-to-month at first, while you get a "feel" for your new job and location, so you're not locked into any long term commitments if you ever change your mind.

There are plenty of places near I-25 - Amli Park Meadows is SE not SW. Or even along Santa Fe or Hampden

Yes sorry I meant to type either SW or SE Denver and stopped haha. I know there are a ton of apartment complexes, I'm mainly trying to find any preferences or recommendations. Everything seems to carry such negative connotations on review sites so I'm trying to figure out which ones might be decent.

That's true with any apartment complex, anywhere. Funny thing is, only the complainers take the time to log on and write a review.

There are lots of apts in Belmar (Lakewood), which is a nice area. It's about 6 blocks to Rte 6 and about 2-3 miles from the Rt 6/I-25 intersection.

My wife and I wanted to do that too.... but 1 month + fees was as expensive as a 3 month lease with fees. Sad, but true.
