I got some once because we live in an area heavily populated with Polish descendants (Downriver) and I wanted to try this local ethnic delight. I got some from our local bakery (run by an oriental family). However they were just Jelly Doughnuts. Is there something different about Packzis? Did we get slighted and get imitation Packzins? I certainly could not distinguish them from regular jelly doughnuts, except for the name on the sign.

You have to love America. Where else would a guy of Scandanavian ancestory who lives in an area that is heavily Polish and Slavic, buy Packzis from an orienetal owner of a bakery?
