The one scoop only contains 9 grams of carbs ( 2 are sugar). The milk adds about 22 grams, and the banana about 8 grams (sugar varies with ripeness). So you are getting about 39 grams of carbs altogether.
It does not seem to be having an adverse effect on your blood sugar. If your weight is normal, no worries.
yes i have had it done .The milk is 1.percent milk and the drink helps me with my morning workout & breakfast meal .My useing the muscle milk before my workout & breakfast i'm not getting so hungry that i stop my workout and go and eat ..

I was never real impressed with Muscle Milk. I thought it was overpriced and the calorie/carb levels were pretty high with protein levels being low for a protein powder. I'm not sure what the RTD (ready to drink) mixes are like.
That said, if you enjoy it and it helps you control your diabetes, I don't see a whole lot of reason to mess with something that isn't broken. If you want to try a better quality/value protein powder, you can always check out Optimum Nutrition, EAS, TrueProtein.com or even the cheapie Wal-Mart brand called Body Fortress, but that is your call.
I had the pre-made light ones and found them pretty disgusting, but if the OP enjoys the taste, then go for it because it appears to be working fine for them. 20 pounds in a month is a very good start and it looks like this drink is replacing quite a few bad calories with that amount of weight loss. I'd recommend trying to get down to fat-free milk and look for the special brands that have a higher protein content and less or no sugar (lactose free). Replacing a lot of carbs with protein is the way a diabetic needs to think, or at least that has worked for me..
