I'm finding myself not hungry in the mornings and only wanting to eat around noon to 1 pm then again about 7-8 pm. Sometimes I try to force myself to eat a little in the morning, but too much makes me a bit nausea feeling.

I should add Im a type 2 but my a1c was recently tested at 6.0.

6.0 is good if you are a Type II. are you taking metformin or victoza (I do) which can supress your appetite?

Yes I take Metformin 1000 mg 2x a day. But usually I only take it once in the morning.

When I'm not hungry but know I have to eat I usually drink a Boost Glucose Control shake because it has less sugar than Glucerna or I eat a Nature Valley Protein Bar.

I have been through such experience. i have adopted the following tricks. drink atleast 4 glass of water when you wake up in the morning (if you cant, start it with 1 glass then gradually increase it) dont eat anything upto 45 mins, this interval is best for morning exercise. after few days you'll definitely find change, and feel hungry.

Sure buddy! other than this concentrate on your diet. your eating habits and their timings matter alot. If you have a right (healthy) meal at right time it will make a difference. Dont skip break fast, it is very important to get you started with a healthy lifestyle.

What is your morning BS reading? If it's too high you may feel unhungry, or even nauseous, because of it.

The only time I had that problem was with Metformin. It constantly had me feeling nauseous. The doctor put me on Metformin Extended Release, and the nauseous feeling stopped and the appetite returned to normal.

I wouldn't be surprised if Metformin has something to do with what your dealing with now.
