My supplier has sent me a letter stating they no longer have a contract with Medicare for testing supplies because basically they will lose money under Obamacare. They will however continue with pump supplies.
Do you know of any supplier who will continue with testing supplies for Medicare patients or all threy all pulling out. I am not at Liberty to name the supplier because of TOS.

We haven't received any notice of withdrawal so far from CCSMed.
I assume any new place will require a new prescription....wouldn't your doctor have the information?

By testing supplies do you mean the meter and strips?

Go to Walmart, check out the Relion Brand. Their meters and strips are way cheaper than any others, and you don't need a prescription. I've spent less on the outright price for Relion than my copay with insurance for other brands, and they all all about the same insofar as accuracy.

Thanks Marylee but if I can find somebody who accepts Medicare I can get testing strips FREE. Still it is nice to know in a pinch.

Are they free? Or do you pay the copay? Is it part A or B? I'm on Medicare, would like to know where/how to get free strips! However, I do think Medicare limits the number/month.....well, I pay about $18/month for 100 strips. Hey, I would certainly like to save $18/month!

Ok, with me, Medicare is secondary, because we have employer insurance through my husband, so that might be the difference.

So you have a gripe about Obama AND TOS.

Lord no. I'm a big Obama supporter. Just saying the company is stating that is why they can't continue with their program.
