5.7 is a 117, a 94 is 4.9. as i say the 94 is good since it's below your 90 day average but it's only a reflection of your glucose at the time the blood was drawn, not your total 90 day picture.

My Dad had diabetic and he died of acute myocardial infarction, heart-attack, so does that mean my blood sugar maybe genetic?

What can I do more to reduce my Fasting Blood Glucose Level Less than 94?
Lifestyle changes. Maybe your doc can suggest some things.

These are my latest readings:

Fasting blood sugar level: 105, 84, 91, 113, I took 4 times, so on average it's 98.
After 2 hours: 95, 95, so average is 95.

I don't have A1c kit to test my A1c but does these readings sound normal? Especially, after 2-hours reading?

Don't average your fasting blood sugar. Take it one time, the correct way...clean hands, before you eat, with enough blood for the meter to do its job. Then put the meter down.

A fasting glucose number of 100 to 125 is pre-diabetic. 126 and above can be diabetic.

95 two hours after eating is good. The target number is 120, if you're diabetic. (some people use 140)

I'm assuming you know the A1C test is your average glucose for the past three months. You can get an A1C kit from the pharmacy now, but you really should have that done when you get your blood work from your doctor's office. I have no idea how accurate the off-the-shelf A1C kit is. I would use it, if I didn't have insurance.

Here is a link that has a lot of answers to many of your questions. I think this may help and explain what you need to know a lot better. I would also follow up with your physician, ask questions, and continue your testing with him/her.

Link: Blood Sugar 101

Hope this helps.

You can buy those A1c test kits at Walmart. also, check local pharmacies, many offer such testing at a reasonable price, and you don't need a perscription.

Just out of curiosity, why do you think a fasting BG of 94 is high?

For fasting, do you test immediately upon awakening? Or do you perhaps get up, move around, go to bathroom, brush teeth, etc, etc? You need to keep your test kit right by your bedside and test as soon as you awaken.

It looks like your numbers actually go down in two hours, do you eat anything in that time? Your testing could be showing the "dawning effect"

Read the book: Sugar Nation a very informative book about diabetes.

Who is telling you that 94 is not a good number? Are you going to a General Practioner or to an Endocronologist?

Those numbers would be considered normal, not sure why you would think otherwise
