Is it dangerous to take Motrin (600-800mg) daily?

I have excrutiating pain in my feet from diabetic neuropathy. My neuro-doc wanted to give me Lyrica but I'm worried about the side effects (depressions, suicidal thoughts, etc). My primary doc won't give me anything. I take 600-800mg of Motrin every night before bed. It lessens the pain somewhat and it helps me sleep.

Is it dangerous to do this daily?

From my limited knowledge of NSAIDs, I would say it's not dangerous in that amount. I know of someone who takes the 600 mg size often.
On this site ( ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) – drug class, medical uses, medication side effects, and drug interactions by MedicineNet.com ), it says, "Arthritis is treated with 300 to 800 mg 3 or 4 times daily."
My main concern would be with potential side effects like how it affects the stomach and whatnot.
