There are many quick fixes out there. Just know that these are not long term solutions, or more importantly perhaps not much of a healthy way to lose the weight for good. One that I read recently is the Jennifer Jolan's one day diet (e-book). I think it's mixing whey protein (10g) into a 9oz cup of water. Drink nothing but 7 to 9 glasses in one day every 1.5-2.5 hrs. You can do this every other day, or twice a week (no consecutive days). Eat balanced meals on non-diet days. It's supposed to be a sort of starvation diet. The purpose of the whey protein water is so that your body doesn't lose muscle but only fat (I'm not expert, you need to read the book if you want more details and explanations).
I would only think this would be good if you're desparate (need to fit on clothes for event, etc) and don't plan on doing it as a long term solution.
People on The Biggest Loser seem to lose even sixteen pounds consistently week after week. I am not sure how they do it.
People who are extremely obese CAN lose that much weight in a week without it necessarily being purely dehydration. But lets be real, the participants in the biggest loser are working out for hours a day and have strictly supervised diets. This is not the real world for most of us. For the vast majority of people, it is unrealistic to expect to lose more than 2-3 pounds per week and have it be true weight loss (not just dehydration).
best bet is put the twinkies down long term sonny.
exercise 45-1 hour EOD walking on treadmill...and 30 min a day + 30 min of weights the other days...take a day off every 2-3 days and remember to drink lots of water and eat raw vegetables and raw fruit..no twinkies, no snack packs, no soda, nada.
dont want to lose it too fast, and you would not want to lose it without working for it either...you are looking for a quick fix brah, aint happening. nothing good will be had in your life without hard work. so take this step forward, then take about 500 more every day while you are walking on the treadmill..in one months time you will see improvements, in 2 years you will be a whole new person!
look back 2 years from now and how quick it passed...good luck !
If you are willing to "try anything", I would suggest talking to your doctor, and then assuming they give you the go ahead, hire a personal trainer and a personal nutritionist and follow everything they tell you to do. It may require all your free time, but if you are very obese, and do what they tell you, you will take the weight off pretty quickly.
Instead of losing 10 pounds, lose your desire to lose ten pounds.
