These things are really, really bad. They even smell bad. Anyone try these? I bought them only because they were buy one/get one. I think I have to throw them out. What a waste.

You could just bring them back to Walmart for a refund. They accept returns.

Also, "It's B1G1" is not the best reason to buy something. I mean, if you were considering buying it anyway, and the B1G1 tipped the decision into the "yes" category - then sure, that'd make sense. But you said you -only- bought it because it was B1G1. Even if you meant to say "I -mosly- bought it because it was B1G1" and didn't mean "only" it's still a pretty dumb reason to buy it.

Prices of things certainly can influence our decisions to buy things, but they shouldn't -determine- the decisions to buy things. There are a lot of "buy one get two free" sales at Big Y supermarket where I live, but I save even more money, by not buying them at all.

Buy some nuts and dried fruits, or grab a banana and eat those instead, of preservative laden 'meal bars', that do not have a whole lot going for them nutritionally.

There are only 2 bars I buy with any regularity:
1. lara bars: only made of fruit, nuts and spices
2. cliff mojo: cliff bars are much better than the others in terms of having real ingredients, these ones have sweet salty flavor profiles
3. kind bars: these are another natural one, with minimal ingredients

I generally do buy the good bars as mentioned above. Just thought I would try these. Never again.

Cliff bars are my favorite so far.

Snickers Marathon energy in crunchy dark chocolate is my current favorite.. Only 150 calories, 11 grams of protein, and 7 grams of fiber. Combine that with a taste you actually want to eat and we have a winner
The Pure Protein bars with 20 grams of protein are my most despised. Taste like crap and the aftertaste is even worse. Same goes for their drinks. My wife likes them, though.

Detour bar is also nice, but a little too sweet for me.

You're right. In many cases consuming a meal bar/meal replacement shake is really not much different than eating a candy bar/drinking a milkshake and taking a multivitamin. I'm surprised anyone would want to eat them.

And 90% taste like crap. So I really don't get it. Just have the candy bar.
