They've been showing new commercials here lately that tell a little more about their process. It's one-on-one hypnosis, tailored to each individual. The testimonials say they no longer crave unhealthy snacks, they don't think about food, and they actually like to exercise now.

Has anyone tried this company or one like it?

I'm not talking about the group hypnosis things that swing a tour thru the country once in a while. I've tried that and it didn't work. I'm talking one-on-one.

If you've tried it, did it work, and how much did it cost? How long did you go, or do you have to go in to renew the effects regularly for the rest of your life?

If it worked people would be lining up to do it. If it worked we would hear about it and people would pay whatever it costs.
Bottom line...it doesn't work so save your money.

That's my usual attitude too, Luckyd, but an acquaintance claims it worked for her. She went from obese to model-thin, and kept it off for at least 4 or 5 years. I don't have any contact with her anymore, unfortunately, to know if it's still off.

And I know several people personally who quit smoking using hypnosis. It was really easy for them.

Chances are she was ready to make the change herself and would have succeeded without the hypnosis. The sessions just reinforced her decision. On that scale I think it could be very healthy. But I think you already have to be there mentally in order for it to work.

Chances are if you do undergo this hypnosis in addition to diet & exercize, you can surely loose weight. Bad diet & no exercize are the main causes of weight gain & they can be treated only with good diet & regular exercize. As simple as that. Only a positive can cancel out a negative. Ofcourse you can mentally prepare for the weight loss journey by staying motivated but I am not sure if 'mind over matter' really works in this context. There is much more to it. What if someday you come out of the hypnosis, will you starting eating bad food again? Reminds me of the movie 'shallow hal' who is hypnotised to see only good in people & real beauty but once he snapped out of it he saw the world as it is. Not sure if hypnosis a long term solution. Save your money & invest it in healthy organic food & a gym membership. You can also join weight watchers as it brings in the accountability factor to keep you motivated.

Hypnosis, meditation etc. are tools people can use to reinforce good habits. Hypnosis and meditation can take your mind off food for awhile, that's all. Neither one alone, without paying attention to diet and exercise, will help you lose weight.

I have a lot of experience with hypnosis and NLP, they work, but are not the holy grail.
