I am a girl and you can understand it very well that how much it matters for me to have a clear skin. I drink appropriate amount of water and eat healthy food. Moreover I clean my face daily before going to sleep. I have a dry skin but never let it dry. Even then I am not able to get rid of white heads and acne.
I had very acne prone skin and could only keep it clear by slathering on benzoyl peroxide every night...that is until I gave up eating dairy. I have found any milk products (butter, milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.) will make me break out within a day or two of eating it. I came upon this discovery after doing what is called an "elimination diet" with my allergist looking for food allergies/intolerances. After doing some research, it seems the dairy-acne link is not uncommon. To do a true test, you would have to eliminate dairy for three weeks to see if there are any changes. It won't cost anything, so it is worth a shot.
Wipe down your cell phone often w antibacterial wipes or something like it. I prefer rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad.
