You might want to check your facts on that.

I just really need to lose some serious weight and want something that takes my appetite away. I am open to suggestions if you know of any alternatives. Thank you in advance!
Bottom line, do what you need to do for you. Have you ever heard of eating right for your blood type? Check that out.

If pills worked for weight loss doctors would be prescribing them to overweight people. The only way to lose weight is to eat less and move more.
Do some research on this product you are considering as i've heard it has some nasty side effects=

They do. Phentermine is prescription only (my mother currently has it, and it works very well) and there is another drug whose name I can't recall but works by blocking the absorption of fat.

This is true. What people the anti-drug folks on here seem unwilling to admit though is that drug solutions can help with one or both of those goals.

- Ephedrine in an EC stack can give you a 2-5% boost in metabolic rate, plus decreased calories through appetite suppression.
- Clenbuterol is about 8-20% depending on dose and if it is used in conjunction with T3.
- DNP can boost you up to as much as 50% at the higher end of safe dosages.

Another thing too many people on these forums seem to think is that if you just say, "eat less and move more" over and over and over again, people will eventually lose weight from it. The truth is, every overweight person on the planet has tried to "eat less and move more", and for whatever reason, they can't stick with it. And what's the stupidest thing a person can do? Try the same thing over and over and over again thinking next time it's going to be different?

People love to say things like, "if a drug could cure weight loss, it would be front page news." Here's another one for you: If all a fat person needed to be told was '"just eat less and move more" there would be no fat people.

Trust me. Just because a person is overweight doesn't mean they're a blundering idiot, as some of you like to assume. They pretty much know eating less and exercising is the way to lose weight. It's for a multitude of reasons--all of them unique to each individual--that doing it is difficult, often too difficult to maintain for any length of time. Thus, we have discussions like this on the many different options people have to help them eat less and move more.

But by all means, just keep repeating "eat less and move more" if you feel you must say something and can't think up anything more insightful to offer.

I see 3 doctors (Family doctor/endocrinologist/cardiovascular specialist)and all are concerned about my weight and how it affects my diabetes,to date none have suggested taking appetite suppressants and all suggest healthy diet and exercise to combat my weight problems.

They usually don't offer it up unless they know you are having problems with it or unless you specifically ask for it.

Phen works for weight loss, as do all stimulants to some degree. However, it's hard on your heart and causes some other issues in women, like miscarriages. It's illegal to market it as a diet supplement in the USA. It also can be used to make meth so it's highly regulated for other uses for about 10 years now.

.
That just sounds to me like the usual excuses fat people make about why they eat too much and don't have enough time to exercise.

And that's what they are - excuses.

No-one is THAT busy they can't find time to walk around the block a few times and how complicated does life have to be not to shovel crap into your face day in day out ?
