When doing WW points I would have a garden salad and chicken nuggets at Wendy's quite often but usually no dressing and no dipping sauce. Coffee for drink.
Wendy's Chicken Sandwich was within range also. I am talking about the grilled and not the breaded chicken breast. I don't use things like mayonnaise because I don't like it.
Chicken breast at KFC is allowed by removing the skin. The difference between eating the skin and not eating it is about 7 points which is enough for a meal. I would add green beans or corn on the cob.
In 3 months, i have gone to Culvers and had a double cheeseburger and fries and a coke, one time. and that was because i was on vacation and was hungry. Thats it. I haven't even gone into McDonalds for their egg mcmuffin. so no, i try to stay outta there. too tempting. i make my own food.
No, especially not when I'm dieting. If I have a "cheat day," which is rare, I definitely am not blowing it on a crappy hamburger from McDonald's. If I'm going to eat one, it's going to be at least be a decent one.
Not really, particularly the burger ones. They generally have such low quality ingredients. Milkshakes have 25 ingredients. Buns with 17 ingredients. And to top it off the fast food restaurants are either far, crappy or both where I live. We have some good local places, chain or not with good quality meat and good fries so when I am in the mood for those I just go to one of them. BK / McDs are choices of last resort, i.e. I am in my car out all day and I haven't had dinner and it is 9p. The good choices are closed so the fast food will be quick.
The ones I go to most frequently are the fried chicken ones. Chickfila, KFC and/or Popeyes. That is about 1x a month. Fried chicken is a lot of effort to make for one person.
Mr.Mathlete does. He typically gets a salad with grilled chicken from McDonald's or Wendy's (light on the dressing), and once in a while he'll get a small order of fries. Not the greatest, but it's smaller portions and lower in calories than deli or pizza.
I eat 1-2 "cheat" meals per week. I don't count calories, nor do I order anything "light". That being said, I don't waste my caloric bang on Mickey Ds. I do Five Guys - double cheese burger and cajun seasoned fries.
I don't think of any fast food places as a treat or a cheat, I can think of many other foods I'd rather cheat on. But if I do need to eat when I'm on the road, I just order the burger without the bun or a salad.

I agree. Fast food to me is not a treat. It means I am out of other options.
