Musicians sometimes eat a banana before a performance because the potassium in the banana relaxes you. That's all I know about the subject.

A stiff drink will do that.
In some "sports" it's actually considered a performance enhancing drug.
Bananas have a lot of potassium. And sugar.
They're great in moderation.

Yes, they are also good for issues like muscle cramping and also have magnesium and vitamin B6. I try to have one a day, but they do have quite a bit of sugar, so I wouldn’t overload on them.

Bananas are a starchy/sweet fruit, lots of carbs given the calorie content. They are tasty and convenient, but I don’t see why there is any great health benefit from eating them regularly.

The potassium in a banana is greatly oversold.

Sometimes for my OMAD I try to have a banana (with 1/2 c. frozen blueberries, raisins and walnuts) for my one meal, which I have in the morning. But the bananas will go bad quickly, even stored in the bottom of the fridge in the vegetable crisper. So the solution is to peel them and freeze them. Frozen bananas may be used to make non-dairy "nice cream":
Quote:
How to make frozen banana chocolate ice cream in your food processor
1. Put the bananas, cocoa powder, almond or peanut butter, and some milk (any kind!) in your food processor.
2. Turn it on and hold on tight. ...
3. Scrape down the edges and keep processing the ice cream for about 3-4 minutes until it turns creamy and delicious.
This is easy, cheap and amazingly good. You can add frozen strawberries (at the last part of the process), vanilla, almond flavoring, chocolate chips, Oreos, or anything you like. It really is an art form.

I love bananas. They are portable, nutritious, and filling. If you are not watching carbs they are a great food.
