A friend of mine was in a bind over New Years trying to get someone to watch her THREE dogs. I apologized and said if I wasn't out of town I would have offered to watch them for her.
Next thing I know, she sends me an email asking if I'd be willing to watch her dogs in February for a few days.
Don't get me wrong, I really don't mind dogsitting, in fact, Beeze would have the time of his life, but my rational side has just caught up with the rest of my head...
All three of her dogs are small (probably 15 pounds), and they're barkers. Beesley hardly ever barks, which is a good thing because I live in a condo complex with my neighbors in close proximity. Barking dogs are a problem here because we have nazi HOA members all around. Also, one of her dogs is a jumper. He's jumped out of the car before...WHILE she was driving! (Which I know is her fault, but still...what if he runs away from me?!)
I haven't officially told her yes yet, but I get the feeling if I say yes, I'll be forced to watch the dogs at my house.
That would work if she hadn't already said yes. Now she needs to gracefully extricate herself from the situation.
I'm very graceful, so I know about stuff like that.
