Ben likes to ignore us especially when we redirect him not to jump. He's getting better but I've not found anything that really got his attention until now. I was playing with him and made the raspberry sound, Judy likes it and tries to catch them by licking the air. Ben however was unnerved and ran the other way. It was my ah-ha! moment.
Now when he does something like jump up, I make the sound and he immediately stops. Works better than anything else. He looks at me as if I've lost my mind but since it gets his attention and has the effect I want I'm unconcerned with his opinion of my mental status.
Never having met let alone own a Shibu mix I was unprepared for the challenge of this over-the-top puppy. He's proving to be quite a challenge, who needs sudoku when they have a Shibu? LOL
