I just wanted to give a tribute to our dogs who have passed on.
First is HEX our South African Boerboel who we lost in May.
She was such a sweet and gentle dog. She loved to lean on my leg or try to lay on my lap!!! It didn't matter how big she had grown, she was still a big lovey puppy. Just wanted to be with us and be our baby, such a love bug. Playful too, loving to chew up anything, making a game out of it. Sadly she had to depart from this world, so young and not a full life lived. You are really miss here!
MAXI our American Pit Bull Terrier who we lost in June.
She was that special dog. Even when old she still had the life of a puppy, even in illness she continued to have the energy and playfulness as a puppy. She was so smart and could learn anything. She was watchful and protective. Gentle and kind. Smart, obedient, patience, playful. Loved to please us. Loved to chew up plastic bottles until they were "dead", hang from trees, catch vermon, herd goats, care for children, nurture puppies.
You brought so much joy to our lives, may your spirit live on.
I got teary eyes when I read you post...We didn't loose any dog, although we did loose a turtle. I would post turtle's pic, but this is a "dog" forum...We miss him so much...May your doggies RIP...
Samara, what a beautiful post to your puppies that have crossed over the Rainbow bridge....know they will be waiting for you when you get there. They are never gone as long as you hold them in your heart....
I'm so sorry for your loss! They were both beautiful and they sound like they brought you a lot of love and happiness, as I'm sure you did the same for them! I get choked up reading posts like this. I can't even think about losing my pups without crying! Your pups are in a wonderful place and I'm sure you will see them again one day!
Goliath (on the right). He lived a life of abuse and was found tied to a fence for over 24hrs on a highway in over 100F heat. Great dog, especially with kids. My son used to use him as a pillow.

What beautiful dogs they are!!!What breed were they? I am sure he was a "soft pillow"...
This thread brought tears to my eyes. We lost our senior dog a little over a week ago. That adoring love in the eyes of the dogs in everyone's pictures is probably what I miss the most about our dog. He was so old, but when he looked at us with those adoring eyes, he reminded us so much of how he looked as a puppy. I would like to write more about how wonderful he was, but the pain is still too fresh.
Thanks guys! They were both wonderful, happy dogs. I'm sorry for your loss as well Brian.
