These are all very good suggestions, and we gave all of these things to our older dogs, too. For fish oil, we buy Kronch Salmon Oil in a pump bottle from Alpha Nutrition online. It's wonderful and doesn't smell fishy. When our boy's arthritis got really bad, a new vet suggested a supplement called HyaFlex, as well as Elk Velvet Antler capsules. He said those would show results in about three months, but sadly, after a month, we discovered our guy had bone cancer in his spine, and we lost him.
I'm now hearing that it's a good idea to start dogs on glucosamine as early as one year of age as a preventive. So we have a 9-month old shepherd-lab puppy now, and she's getting Missing Link Ultimate ijn her food. When she's older, I'll give her the pills as well because dogs need about 1500 mg a day, way more than you'll get in the Missing Link.
HE is your BDE (Best Dog Ever) Everyone gets one once in a lifetime I think. Ours is now a tree
(Note: that is only watering the tree. As previously mentioned men don't cry).
LOL!!

I read that too some years back not sure how true it is but it never hurts. The little one gets the MSM, Vit C, and recently glucosamine. There was a site I was refereed to that sold wafers they were pretty pricy but most giant breeders swore by them. Just can't remember the name though, thought I saved it in my favorites.
Does anyone have any feedback on Dasuquin? Active Ingredients are 600 mg. glucosamine, 250 mg. chondroitin, 45 mg. ASU powder (avocado-soybean).
