Thanks! That rare flying Doberman/Rottweiller cross loved to jump like that. She would go out into the field & just jump them on her own.
Oh so that is what she is. I had a girl Rott/Dobe cross. She was very high drive and energetic. She could chase a ball like all day.
Here is Ari, he is super active. He plays constantly and can entertain himself. He is outside most the time and is fine with that. Thats not really typical of the breed, but I think his constant go, go, go keeps his mind always busy. When he is on a chain he plays with the chain, he will fight it, when he is in a kennel he constantly plays in the kennel with a ball or springpole. His mom was so much like this and his dad is also like that, Ari is only a 1yr but his parents are 6yrs old, so I don't look for him to grow out of his always play mindset. He can go on long walks and still want to get back and play, can't wait. He is a real lover though, but he gets distracted from attention to return to play.
I'm wondering if I could channel that drive for some type of job in him. It would be hard in his case because he doesn't have much handler focus. At least I got a pic where he is actually laying down, so he does listen, but acts like a child with ADHD! He can play with anything, even a rock and be happy.
I'm thinking of doing some 5 mile run with him, I think he would be an excellent condition on top of all his other play and he certainly wouldn't tire.
We spent most of the day outside playing with the dogs, it has been such nice weather I'm trying to take advantage of outdoor activity. Its been 70-90 the last week. So we've been doing the longer walks, play and tons of yard work too.
