Camping in the snow. Wyatt McRiot is such a toughie. Playing in the snow, wading in the freezing water, refusing to use the nice thick pad to sit on.
Until it got dark. He was sitting with us near the campfire. His ears fly up and he sits up and stares into the dark. Then he whirls around and stares the other direction, with his ears about to pop right off his head.
Wyatt got up and went to the trailer door and asked to be let inside. I figured he wouldn't stay in there by himself, so after a couple of minutes, I asked him if he wanted to come back out. He looked out and turned around and went back inside where he could lay on a soft bed, inside where it was heated.
He wouldn't come back out until morning.
So now Crash has a new nickname. He is now known to his closest friends as Wuss Boy.
Oregon, do you realize you have the makings of a Wyatt McRiot book?
Love the story, keep 'em coming, and I hope you got pics on the camping trip!
