So lately my 3 year old Cavoodle Teddy has been yelping when he scratches or stands, he also yelps when he is laying down and when you pat his right year he yelp. he is 3/4 poodle and 1/4 cavalier. My family and i are wondering if its really serious

Yes, potentially serious- get to vet ASAP. Any indication of pain (yelping) or change in behavior needs immediate vet attention.

There's a typo in your post, were you meaning to say right rear or right ear?
