Our favorite dog park is about 30 minutes from our house. We go there on the weekends when we aren't up in the mountains hiking. It is 75 acres, has 3 ponds and a creek running through it.

Our 3 labs get about 1.5-2 hours there on a Saturday and/or Sunday morning and then they are done for the day!!

Ours is Dog Beach, not park. He loves running in the ocean and chasing all the other dogs in the sand.

We also have a dog park across the street, and while it's not our favorite, we're glad to have it on the days we don't feel like driving anywhere.

I saw the dog beach on TV and it look really fun We are considering a move to NC and I am trying to make sure if we do that a dog park is near us. Walking distance would be so cool

I live in Alexandria, VA - just outside D.C. I am very fortunate to have a dog park within walking distance. It's just a fenced in area the size of half a football field, but she has some good buddies there

We also have a more elaborate park about 10 minutes' drive from here - there is more room to run and chase (and I get some running in myself!), PLUS it's built next to a creek where the doggies can swim. We had a few warm days last week and she went swimming for the first time - I was so proud!
