That's really the oldest? My neighbor has a 20 year old that he's had since she was 8 weeks old and still brings her to the dog park! I couldn't believe the age, since she is so playful still at that age!

Saw that doggy on one of the morning shows today. Cute! My Mom had two cats, Trixie and Dixie. They were 20 and 21 when they passed away.

I think by oldest it is actually the oldest still living. I know that the actual record for oldest dog belongs to a cattle dog that died at age 29 yrs.

I love hearing about dogs living so long. My co worker had a 20 yr old mutt.

Yeah, but it is very difficult to prove the birth date of these dogs. A similar problem exists for these claims of oldest living human. They need to produce a birth certificate!
