I'm having a hard time coming up with a breed or mutt that isn't cute in some way. We dog lovers may have preference in terms of appearance, but when it comes down to it, don't you ultimately connect with the eyes and sense the bond and mutual affection our two species have had for centuries. It's almost like meeting an old friend along the journey...

But if pinned down, I'd say the cutest dog ever known to man is the pug . Prehistoric cave paintings depict early man smiling at (and feeding!) early pug.
