I have a 10 month old beagle and out of nowhere she just started humping my sister's leg. She hasn't been spayed or had sex yet. She hasn't even entered in heat. So what does it mean? Can anybody help me?

Females hump to show dominance, which is why males who were fixed years ago will still hump at times or on certain dogs.

As said, all dogs hump to show dominance. You need to show your dog that your sister is above her in your pack.

And age makes no difference! I've had the now 8 week old Repo here and he has "violated" every stuffed toy he owns!

Actually the sister needs to show the dog she's boss.

Growing up, our female dog would do a little mounting herself. We used to joke & say she was gay.

Get her spayed if you can. That should curb this type of behavior.

This is NOT dominance. This is how dogs PLAY. Just like bonobo apes have intercourse to defuse a tense situation, this is a PLAY behavior for dogs.

And PLEASE have your dog spayed!

My female pooch does the same thing. Especially couch cushions when we first let her in the house and she is excited EEK It's a little embarassing but what do ya do? *shrug*

Shelby, I love the name Repo! Both of mine are pound hounds so that would have been a great name for the male LOLOL
