Where do you think the best place to live for dogs is,, also is there any place that has decent Vet care that is reasonably affordable,, I have lived in NY and Las Vegas and let me tell you the Vet bills are as much if not more then bills you would get if you saw a regular doctor
I would say that by far from what I've seen that some other pay, SE Idaho is not all that bad. However, I know that two towns separated by only 60 miles can also show dramatic difference in costs. I'm in the Idaho Falls area and when I was on the board of directors for a local humane society I found out that expenses down in Pocatello were much higher.
Dogfriendly.com did an article at one time about the most dog friendly cities...suprisingly there were a couple of biggies that topped the list. I think first place went to Boston. Apparantly you can take your well behaved canine on the T (the boston subway system) they listed other place to go in the city. Chicago was up there too, you are able to take your dog on the city buses with you! I went to look and couldn't find the article again, but if you look around their site, you may be able to find it. I personally loved Breckinridge Colorado. They have a great store there that I believe has expanded to add a dog friendly cafe, and there were **** bag stations all over the city. When we visited there, we saw so many dogs...it was great!

On the Charles River in Boston- you will see many strange breeds- it is definitely dog-friendly.
In NYC there is actually a cafe where you can bring your dog- they have treats for him too- some restaurants let you bring them to the outside cafe.
I live in IL for now soon to move to Florida. There are alot of dogs here and dog parks. It cost me about $120each to neuter and spay my to dogs I thought thats not too bad. I also have a doggie day care I run out of my home and there alot of people who come and there are some big places that do the same thing and they are pretty full too.
If you want to do pet sitting or day care it is a really good place to do that. I hope Florida is the same.
anywhere in Texas.........but then again, i am biased. the Lonestar State is the friendliest in the union........
if you are a city slicker, Austin is MAJORLY dog friendly......but you best be a liberal, otherwise you wouldnt like it. (i aint-i am very conservative, hence, i will NEVER live there)........but most rest of TX is republican conservative
I visited Annapolis, MD for an afternoon. Dogs EVERYWHERE! Inside cafes, outside cafes. Every establishment had bowls of water set out. (Maybe I'm anal, but I bring my own.)
People and dogs were having a great time. It seemed like every other dog you came across was a black Lab.
If you want a place where there is stuff to do with your dog AND you can afford to live consider Aiken, SC.
Housing is very affordable, as are utilities. There is a 2,200 acre woods that is for hiking or horseback riding only, and dogs are welcome there. Also a state park that even lets you take your dog out in their rental canoes or hiking on their trails.
Jobs will be in the Augusta, GA area, just 20 minutes away. Augusta also has places like Riverwalk, where you can take your dog.
Vet bills were the most reasonable I have seen in many years. Emergency visit that included x-rays and IV fluids and take home meds was $116.
I just moved to N. AL and was shocked at how low the vets cost up here. I never walked out of the vets office in Tampa for less than $100.00 and here the cost is $25.00 or less. I took my puppy in for an ear yeast infection.. Cost $15.00. To have her spayed was $90.00 and they kept her overnight.

Well it's to expensive for me to live out there, but San Diego has a dog beach. It was really cool to see all the dogs playing on the beach and surf.
