You busted your ass in school when everyone else was partying or lacked motivation to choose a tough major with upside potential. Maybe you just plain have a high IQ. You continued to work hard, took risks, made smart decisions, saved up, etc. But SHAME ON YOU!!!!
I know a few people who are soooo entitled. They blame the system and the government. They blame others. They never take a hard look at the choices they made in life.
I don't know anyone who thinks millionaires are evil. I think big money institutions are, Wall Street, Monsanto, big oil, and the very, very rich (I wouldn't put everyday millionaires in that group) who hide millions in the Cayman's are, and companies like CVS who buy Canadian chains just so they can stop paying US taxes are, but if you don't have that kind of influence or power, I think you're inflating your sense of importance to most of us.
Do you have a 401K? Do you own any mutual funds? Do you know that all those companies and people you despise are trying to make you wealthy?
For the most part, the very rich also happen to be very smart and do a good job of managing their money so the govt doesn't get more than their share.
I don't think millionaires in general are evil; but the ones who complain about how hard it is to get by with millions, and then mock people trying to live on $10/hr, are something else.
Interesting thoughts.....do you not like wealthy people because you're not one?
Do you think most wealthy people didn't have to work for their money and lucked into it?
Do you think wealthy people should pay more so non-wealthy people don't have to work for $10/hr?
How about I make this simple for you:
Have employers pay livable wages in tune to what we're charged for food, gas, clothing, utilities etc., and nobody besides the elders and disabled will ever use welfare again! Taxes should be for the people's well being, not to fight wars in other countries...just in case you didn't know that.
There are 3 million millionaires in the US. Today's millionaires are overrated. $10 Million net worth should be called the new millionaire, shall we give it a new name?
Today millionaires are really no better off than the rest of us-you are deluded if you think you are close to the economic and political power of the true 1% that people rally against-people are not talking about you when they say the 1% should pay their share. If anything people that have a couple Million are even bigger pawns to the system than the rest of us as they pay a ridiculous amount in taxes to keep it going for those at the very top and very bottom.
I know people like to think that they are special, but you are most definitely "one in the masses"-and one that pays an absurb amount in taxes.
