The "business subsidy" comes in the form of food stamps to the employee who is paid the minimum wage. They don't have to pay a "living wage" because the government is chipping in.
Paying a "living wage" is not a requirement anywhere in the US, so just stop with that nonsense.
As far as subsidizing WalMart's cost of labor, it's not happening. And here's why:
Walmart currently pays its employees at one of three levels:
1) A market determined wage/salary.
2) The Federal minimum wage.
3) A state minimum wage, if it is in excess of the Federal minimum wage.
100% of Walmart employees are paid in one of the three manners described above. No exceptions. None. In order for Walmart to be receiving a taxpayer provided subsidy of their labor costs, they would have to have figured out how to NOT pay employees in one of the three manners described above, and actually pay them less, while simultaneously figuring out how to compel the government to pay to Walmart the shortfall. This is not happening, not even in a single instance.

Some Walmart employees are able to receive government assistance, not because Walmart is paying them less than a market wage, or a minimum wage (because that's CLEARLY NOT happening), but because society has determined that an individual needs more than what some of these employees are able to command in the marketplace. But understand that in these instances, the employees are having their lifestyle subsidized, Walmart isn't having it's labor cost subsidized. In fact, minimum wage results in Walmart paying higher wages than they would be paying in the absence of a minimum wage.
Only someone possessing no knowledge of economics could possibly believe that Walmart is receiving a government provided wage subsidy.
Trump lowered taxes on the rich. the tax savings to the others is eaten up by gas prices going up and won't be seen and is mostly meaningless if it's a the price of a lunch a week.
How does lowering taxes help the little old lady living on social security of $800 a month? She's lucky if she can keep a roof over her head and food on her table and pay for tylenol and toilet paper.

Burger flippers could actually log onto their computers to purse a secondary education online instead of using it to look up celebrity social media accounts. The "gap closer" has been here fore decades now, it's called the internet. Whether you use it to take classes on computer science or play PC games all day, is your choice.

Don't buy things. Any time you buy a smartphone/big screen tv/etc you are making a rich person richer.
Buy things you can afford, don't buy the biggest newest most expensive TV, you can get a 50 inch closeout when the new models come out for about $300 and you can get a smart phone for $100 or less, some free with some plans.
Any time you buy anything even for $1 at Walmart you are making the richest family in the world richer. You have no choice but to buy things.
