Lol no. First of all the pay what you want was never my model. I said prices can be set, only that the vendors or producers are independent of any large corporate profit scheme and set reasonable prices to benefit the workers and consumers.
Also, this model only failed because it was competing in a capitalist economy where capital equates to power, nothing is shared, and we must survive based on wages.
People in that atmosphere are not incentivized to work cooperatively.

Read the link again, working on land, having a horse, all of that is different from say owning a plantation and having workers take care of 20 horses and work the land.
