People often subscribe to magazines, and when finished reading donate the magazines to places like waiting rooms in doctor's offices, etc. I've noticed the donater always tears out the address labels. Is there some security reason to do this?
Come on OP, what you you think the answer to your own question might be?
Why do you think someone would tear off an address label from any thing....a magazine? a delivery box? junk mail?
You really have no idea, and can't even imagine or fathom a reason someone would do that?

Nah, I don't have any idea. That's why I asked. You tell me what nefarious information can be gleaned from an address label that's not available a dozen other places.

It’s simply that it’s there. Easy access. No work. I don’t care to have my name and address plastered all over a shelf in a thrift store, or anywhere else for that matter.
We usually don latex gloves and use baby wipes to scrub every single page of a magazine for possible prints before we donate it to the laser hair removal clinic. I didn't think about the label, will have to handle that.
