Legal bills of medical doctor suing hospital/health insurance system? (percentage, lawsuit)

A few years ago I read about a medical doctor who lost his practice privileges at a hospital/insurance organization. He sued the organization and lost. He then appealed the decision and won. The hospital/insurance organization appealed the appeals court decision to the state supreme court and won.

I wonder how much the doctor had to pay his lawyers in total for the original lawsuit, appeals court, and state supreme court. Anyone care to guess?

Possibly none as the lawyers could have taken the case with the goal of getting a percentage of the settlement.
