Think about it the FED (federal reserve) injected 600 billion into the banking system this week and it did nothing to stop the crisis. What is 700 billion going to do?

World central banks stake billions to staunch global crisis - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080918/bs_afp/usbankingfinancebank - broken link)

Second and why would anyone give money to Paulson an Ex-wallstreet CEO.

Thank god it was a no vote for the bail out, Congress does have 2 feet.

Of course it did nothing. Banks are still not in a lending mood. The 600 billion that was injected into the banking system is supposed to help make credit available, but until the banks are relieved of the bad debts (mortgage backed securities) in their portfolios credit will continue to be tight no matter how much is injected.

It isn't like a text message where someone responds immediately.

Do you even understand business basics?

According to your article, the fed injected 180 billion. The other central banks around the world combined injected 600 billion.

Every time I see the word injected it reminds me that Wall street is like a junkie loking for a fix. Is that any way to run an economy? Why cannot the market detox this madness?

I actually like your analogy.

You cannot successfully detox an addict unless the addict acknowledges he has a problem. Often times, the addict has to reach rock bottom before admitting he has a problem.

The market cannot detox Wall Street because Paulson and everybody who's supporting the bailout are enabling the junkie.
