Edmonton has a new "accidental beach". South side of the river across from Shaw Conference Center. They are going to be adding toilets and monitoring the area. Yeay good for us, we need something like that.

It is not the only little "beach" we have though, you just have to look and walk. I have a little spot with soft sand I go to that is only accessible through trails, you can not drive there. It is in Edmonton however so one doesn't have to travel far.

Have you found a favorite spot to beach it in Edmonton? I see many water wading picnics in our future.

I saw something on CTV news last week about that new beach. That is a really nice looking "accidental" beach you got there. The sand looks very clean and fine textured.

If it is anything like the one further down that I go to then yes the sand is so very soft. I haven't been to the new/accidental one yet as it is right off down town and I rarely go there. It is so full of people as well. Any time I can get my feet in water I am one happy girl lol.
