Is a resource class the same as a special education class?

Yes. The students have IEPs.

Kind of. It's not self contained and most of the kids are mainstreamed. In my high school, it was for kids who had mild learning disabilities. The kids spent every other period with the general population at school, but went to resource as a class period for extra help.

Generally yes, IF all of the students have IEPs.

However, a few schools call other classes such as homework help, extra practice, remedial work classes as "resource classes" or resource rooms.

Ask the teacher to find out for sure.
