Locally, Lowe's pays that much. They complain that people will not show up for work.
No certificate required.

A certified auto mechanic or airplane repair agent can make at least 5 times that rate.

What is your skillset?
Interest?
Aptitude?
Location?

Can you work nights and weekends?

All of the above matters (and will help us to be more accurate and effectively guide you)

Age matters too, especially if you are over age 50. (hope not)

Why does age matter? I am looking for online certificates that I can learn a skill that pays well so location doesn’t matter

Age may matter to a potential employer. Despite being illegal, age discrimination does exist even if it can't be proven to be the reason an applicant isn't selected for a vacancy.

Location may matter if there's no market (or the market is flooded) for those skills where you live now and you are unwilling to relocate. Some "certificates" might not transfer to other states because the qualification standards are state specific.

If you really have no idea what sort of job you can or even want to pursue and all that matters is money, I'd suggest you need to put some honest mental effort into figuring out what you WON'T want before asking others to help you. Don't expect total strangers to do all your thinking for you. If you don't invest time and energy in it yourself, the result is more likely to be a matter of garbage in, garbage out.

Similar to asking what degrees pay the most, most certificates alone are simply worthless pieces of paper ... until someone with a little initiative 'sells' themselves in the marketplace.

There are many people with the same degrees and certificates. Some learn to do something and get paid with their knowledge and intelligence. Others with the same, stand on the sidelines and wonder why employers aren't beating on their door.

Yes, certain basic degrees and certificates are minimum requirements for some entry-level jobs. But, that quickly loses it's importance beyond 'entry level.'

I've noticed locally (tourist town) that numerous businesses are advertising $16-$18 per hour for entry level (Whataburger, 5 Guys, etc). Of course, I've also noticed that most restaurants, fast foods and retail are proportionately increasing their prices. In the real world, one must add measurable value in the workplace --- or move-on. Minimum wage 'laws' don't really help anyone. Of course, in our tourist town, there are literally hundreds of 'hiring' signs on almost every business. Anyone who cannot find a $15-$20 per job here, really doesn't want to work!

Credentials are essential for jobs that require them.
But business owners don't need credentials to start their own business.
Hired help may be required, but not the boss.

This genius didn't need credentials, and started quite a few companies, and made the solar powered calculator cheap and plentiful.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_R._Ovshinsky
Stanford Robert Ovshinsky (November 24, 1922 – October 17, 2012) was an American engineer, scientist and inventor who over a span of fifty years was granted well over 400 patents, mostly in the areas of energy and information. Many of his inventions have had wide-ranging applications. Among the most prominent are: the nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery, which has been widely used in laptop computers, digital cameras, cell phones, and electric and hybrid cars; flexible thin-film solar energy laminates and panels; flat screen liquid crystal displays; rewritable CD and DVD discs; hydrogen fuel cells; and nonvolatile phase-change memory.
