what I was trying to say is that I picture Texas as flat and green and El Paso blends in as New Mexico or Mexico better than it blends in with Texas.

My opinion is that El Paso is a place all to its own, and that's a good thing. It IS Texas, but not like the rest of Texas. I've never visited El Paso, but I do plan to soon.

GO EL PASO!

I don't get that TEXAS FEELIN! I feel el paso is in a world of its own. So, HOW TEXAN IS EL PASO?
El Paso is just as Texan as the rest of the state, despite its relative isolation.....it has a rich history like no other. The convergence of Texas, New Mexico and Mexico does set it apart, though.

I have a friend that went to college in Las Cruces and she would go party in El Paso/Juarez sometimes and one day I said something about El Paso and Texas and she said "El Paso is in Texas?,I just figured it was in New Mexico"?

For me El Paso does not seem like the rest of Texas, El Paso to me is like its own in does not seem to fit in anywhere..........just kinda sits by itself apart from anything.

I honestly think El Paso, much of West Texas, and parts of Southern New Mexico.. should become its own state. I love that I am a Texan.. but I think it would be nice also to have our own leadership and laws that benefit El Paso and other parts of these states that usually get ignored by their capitals that are located quite a distance away from them.

Texas has five different geographical distinctions, West Texas mountains desert, the Panhandle, high plains and flat land, East Texas forrest lakes and flat, Central Texas, hills and patchy forrest with lakes, and the gulf coast of Texas a totally different scene of it's own.

You have to consider the fact that El Paso is isolated all by itself and that the nearest sizeable city is 300 miles away in Odessa/Midland. Other than that I consider myself 100% Texan! Texas pride is everywhere in El Paso!
