Here's a link that may show you the different housing areas. I didn't try opening it but it's worth a try.

I opened the link myself and will tell you that Paso Del Norte Heights is the newest housing as of this date. It's right below Alabama and above Chapin High School and the elevation allows magnificent views. You'll be able to see Biggs Army/Air Field, the International Airport and beyond.

I'm a civilian, but if I had to choose Army housing, this would be the area I'd prefer. It's not on main post but only a 5-10 minute drive - William Beaumont Army Medical Center is a 2/3 minute drive. There's an excellent elementary school a few blocks away, I'm not sure about the middle school, and the high school is relatively new and beautiful.

Hope that helps.

I answered it and provided a link with pictures. It's a couple of posts back in this thread.

My Answer: I was just offered a house in Paso Del Norte and I am THRILLED! We have been stationed in El Paso for 2 years. Currently we are in an older 996 sq ft 3 Bedroom with no garage and no dishwasher and obviously pretty small for a 3 Bedroom. And we pay over $900 in rent and over $400 in utilities every month with only a BAH allowance of $1064.

Although, the area around Dyer in nothing to look at... getting a recently built 3Bdrm with over 600 more square feet, 2 car garage, dishwasher and the works PLUS saving that money on utilities is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it!

We have always lived off post at every station and have been happy, but I think in El Paso it is simply not worth it.

$400 in utilities? That's crazy. My electric bill is anywhere from $55 to $75.
