Why do they call Maryland the free state? It is one of two states, the other Florida, that is cracking down on social networks being used in campaigns.

Misleading headline. The Legislature is out of seesion until January 2011. What this is is a committee recommendation that may or may not make it onto the legislative calendar next year.

The end of freedom of speech? CHALLENGE in supreme court please. If this is not declared unconstitutional we have pretty much lost all justice in all 3 branches of government and it needs to be forced into submission.
Revolution please.

You know why already.
Internet = cheap to advertise and campaign. They dislike cheap and effective.

They want to put barrier to campaign so only those endorsed by big corps/big Unions can get offices.

Plain corrupt laws. Freedom of the Internets please. The day the freedom of the internet is the day we become a completely communist/fascist Republic.(if we are not yet already)
(this nation is republic NOT democracy:P)

Okay, coming from not knowing anything about this subject, I read that article twice and still don't know why they passed this law. What was the impetus for it?
