sorry Razor, Ron is 10 years past his prime and pisses too many people off. I will say, I sorta wish he would have been the candidate last time even thought I certainly do not totally agree with him, but he wouldn't have been the newly created God anyway.

I think he will be lucky to make it to 2012 without being forced to resign.

We ALL know he was the biggest mistake in American political history period.

He needs to go back to teaching Alinsky socialism in college and brainwashing kids in local Chicago schools.

He was not even a fair Senator and needs to be out of politics completely.

He was also a failure as an attorney.

Find something he can do right and just maybe you can surprise us. So far, he has been an complete and utter failure at this job which is way over his head.

Feel better now?
YEEEEAAAAAAH! How can we the people make him resign? Lets do it!

He should relocate to Kenya and help his half-brother financially.

Maybe he can become leader of a 10' x 10' parcel of land there.

This means that the Pubs will put forth in the next election the same nonsense that lost it for them in 2008. They are still Bush republicans. This means they don't know a thing about the economy, Wall street, the infrastructure, health care, civil rights, or dealing with the deficit. They run up deficits to record levels even when given a surplus. They cause illegal immigration to grow worse while only complaining about it. They favor increasing h-1b visas to bring cheaper indian and asian labor here to displace millions of qualified americans. This causes the unemployment rate to skyrocket.

Their small govt nonsense means less regulation. Less regulation means the rich get richer and the rest go to hell. Less regulation means more food recalls, historically bad oil spills because of cuttting corners, ineffective responses to natural disasters (like Katrina), and neglect of federal investment in medical and technology research that could find the cure for deadly diseases. A cure fo cancer or alzheimers might've been found with the trillion dollars they wasted on a failed ideological war that we are trying to get away from now. Among this bunch, warmongering remains high on the agenda because they believe that every society should be just like ours and strives for such. How pompous. They think it's ok to attack sovereign nations unprovoked even when those nations pose no imminent threat to this country. They don't mind lying to get congressional approval, then continuously lying about how well the war is being managed. This tactic perpetuates war and keeps the public from focusing on their inability to solve domestic problems.

They are about protecting those who benefited from discriminating and denying opportunities to others. They oppose affirmative action, holding that racism no longer exists to the detriment of certain minorities, even as they practice discrimination. They have a very backwards view of abortion, having the gaul to believe that any man can tell a woman what to do with her body. It goes on, but their narrative has been nothing but negativity since this great president was overwhelmingly elected. Their negativity continues in the form of some of the most pathetic political figures in history: Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck. Incredible.

President Obama given the worst mess in history and he has been doing an excellent job. He's here through 2016 folks! We are fortunate as a nation.
Two years (to 2012) is an eternity in politics. A lot can happen in that time to shift the political landscape. That being said there are several factors that contributed to Obama's 2008 victory that won't be repeated in 2012. There is the novelty factor of voting for the first black candidate for president. That certainly energized a lot of young people who love fads. But 'been there, done that' is lethal for fads. Then there is the guilt factor. Many people voted for Obama as a way to make the statement "See, I'm not a racist." Those same people are now free to vote against him. Then there is the pride factor. Blacks voted for Obama in near unanimity. The next time around the question for them will be the more prosaic "What have you done for me lately?" Then there is the Bush fatigue syndrome. Bush had so tarnished the Republican brand that people voted for a Dem just for a change. The Dems won't have Bush to beat up on in 2012. Then there is the war fatigue factor. That played to Obama's favor in 2012 but it will work against him in 2012 if we are still mired in two wars. Then there is the tired old man factor. McCain was a terrible candidate and an even worse campaigner. The Republicans won't repeat that mistake in 2012. Finally there is the mystery factor. Obama was a mystery to most people. He came out of nowhere spouting platitudes. Obama himself said that he is like a blank slate on which people project their aspirations. Well, the mystery is gone and people now know what Obama is all about. And a lot of people don't like what they've seen and heard. That's why independents, for example, are abandoning him in droves.

If the election were held today Obama would lose. If things don't change significantly between now and November 2012 he'll be a one term president.

True, but he still has the illegal immigrant voters, which will be boosted by the Justice Departments lawsuit against Arizona.

I could be a dreamer, but I think the illegal voting machine might be cracked down on more in 2012, especially if there can be more control over a few states and Acorn can be stopped in their tracks.

I hope your right Nita, but it wouldn't benefit the democrats if they lose these voters. And since they are in charge right now, any changes probably won't happen for a while.

I read the thread title and had to laugh. Obummer will have his legs and nuts cut off in November. I invisioned him being Carter II and so far he has proven to be far worse than my worst nightmare. What a joke.

Take ALL the trash out in November.
